  • No. 21 ranked Barton men's tennis season ends at regionals

    The Barton Community College men’s tennis team had their season come to an end this past weekend finishing fourth at the Region VI Tennis Championships held in Liberal, Kansas. Needing to finish in third, the No. 21 ranked Cougars could never find their stroke in the second day of competition earning just win in nine matches.
  • No. 25 Barton men’s tennis wraps up regular season with loss at No. 7 Cowley

    The Barton County Community College men’s tennis team wrapped up the regular season Monday in Arkansas City getting blanked by the No. 7 ranked Tigers of Cowley College in Jayhawk Conference play 9-0.
  • Cougars bid for two straight falls short in loss to Bethel College

    Coming off its first dual win of the season two days prior, the Barton County Community College men’s tennis team fell short in its bid for two in a row falling in a hard fought 6-3 decision to Bethel College Thursday afternoon at the Ellinwood Grade School tennis courts. Falling behind three matches after being swept in the doubles round, the Cougars took three of the singles matches but came up on the short end on tie-breakers resulting in two pivotal losses.
  • No. 25 Cougars lose battle at No. 4 Seward County

    The No. 25 ranked Barton County Community College men’s tennis team traveled to Liberal Tuesday opening up conference play getting shut out 9-0 at the hands of No. 4 ranked Seward County Community College. The Cougars were simply manhandled in the dual winning just thirteen games falling to 0-4 on the season while Seward County stays unbeaten at 11-0.
  • Barton Tennis falls in home opener

    The Barton County Community College men’s tennis team came up short in their home opener Friday losing 6-3 to Colorado Christian University. Played at the Veterans Memorial Park tennis courts, the Cougars started the dual with two victories in the doubles but stumbled in the singles matches dropping all but one of the six matches. The 0-2 Cougars will have a busy week ahead playing two matches beginning with Thursday’s 2:00pm dual at Tabor College before a Saturday 11:00 a.m. dual at Bethany College.
