    Looking to end the 2014 season on a high note, multiple members of the Barton Community College men’s team had season best performances competing this past Saturday at the Nebraska Invitational held in Lincoln, Nebraska.
  • Barton men compete in 87th Annual Kansas Relays

    A limited number of Barton Community College men's track and field team members helped christen Rock Chalk Park this past week at the 87th Annual Kansas Relays in Lawrence, Kansas. Barton will wrap up its outdoor season Friday, April 25, at the FHSU Open in Hays, Kansas.
  • Numerous personal bests and national qualifying standards highlight Barton men at Texas Tech Open

    The Barton Community College men's track and field team exceeded personal best and met four national qualifying standards this past Saturday at the Texas Tech Open in Lubbock, Texas. The Cougars will next compete next weekend much closer to home taking part in the KT Woodman Invitational April 11-12 in Wichita, Kansas.
  • Cougar track and field with six top ten finishes at Bobcat Invitational

    The Barton Community College men's track and field team competed this past weekend taking part in the Bobcat Invitational March 27-29 at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. While part of the team was in Texas, other Cougars competed at the Cowley Tiger Invite in Arkansas City, Kansas, on Saturday. Barton will re-join forces next weekend as the team heads to Lubbock, Texas, to compete in the Texas Tech Open.
  • Cougars’ split squad dominates the sprints at Cowley Invite

    The Barton Community College men's track and field team competed as a split squad Saturday taking part in the Cowley Tiger Invite in Arkansas City, Kansas. Hosted by Cowley College, Barton dominated the sprint events at the Invite while the distance runners took part in the Bobcat Invitational in Texas. The Cougars will join forces next weekend as the team heads to Lubbock, Texas, to compete in the Texas Tech Open.
  • Cougar track and field open outdoor season

    The Barton Community College men's track and field team opened up the 2014 outdoor season on Saturday taking part in the Butch Reynolds Invitational in El Dorado, Kansas. Hosted by Butler Community College, Barton took a limited amount of athletes capturing a first place and two second place finishes. The Cougars will split the squad to take part in two different meets next weekend. One group will participate in the Bobcat Invitational March 27-29 at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, while the other group will participate in the Cowley College Tiger Invite on Saturday, March 29, in Arkansas City, Kansas.
  • Cougars close out indoor season with 14th place at NJCAA Championships

    The Barton Community College men's track and field team wrapped up the indoor season this past weekend scoring 18 points with five top ten performances to finish in fourteen place at the NJCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field National Championships held at the New Balance Track and Field Center at The Armory in upper Manhattan, New York. The Cougars scored 18 points with five top ten finishes.
  • Cougars wrap up indoor regular season at Region VI Championships, Winters wins two events

    The Barton Community College men's track and field team placed ninth at the Region VI Indoor Championships on Friday at the University of Kansas’ Anshutz Pavillion. The injury plagued Cougars scored 42 points as sophomore speedster David Winters captured the 60 Meter and 200 Meter Dash titles with season best performances. Barton also took fifth in the Jayhawk West standings finishing with 82 points.
  • Cougars record multiple season bests at Beile Classic

    The Barton Community College men's track and field team took a break from competing against NCAA Division I powerhouses in taking part in the Fred Beile Classic on Saturday in Crete, Nebraska. Hosted by Doane College, Barton recorded multiple personal bests during competition against ten other colleges.
  • Cougars continue indoor improvement with strong showing at Masked Rider Open

    The Barton Community College men's track and field team continued their improvement this past weekend at the Masked Rider Open held at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. The Cougars reached national qualifying marks in three events and posted numerous personal bests throughout the day.

    The Barton Community College men's track and field team returns to indoor competition this weekend in the Masked Rider Open held on the campus of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. The Cougars will be competing on both Friday and Saturday in two days of action at the Athletic Training Center against both four-year and two-year colleges and universities.

    The Barton Community College men's track and field team opens the season Friday and Saturday at the Holiday Inn Invitational held on the campus of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE. After a disappointing 2013 season, the Cougars feature a roster of new and returning athletes set to take on two days of tough competition at the Devaney Sports Center against both four-year and two-year colleges and universities.
  • Barton Men’s Outdoor Track and Field placed on one year probation

    In a recent NJCAA and KJCCC ruling, the Barton Community College men’s outdoor track and field team has been placed on probation for the 2013-2014 academic year. The ruling stems from the College’s internal review and self-reporting of a NJCAA violation, resulting in the men’s track and field team declared ineligible to compete in the 2014 NJCAA or KJCCC/Region VI Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
