Brandon Smith is in his second year with Barton Athletics serving as the Athletics Event Auxiliary Services Manager and Assistant Sports Information Director. Smith will oversee all athletic facilities, event management, planning and organization of auxiliary services, while assisting the sports information director.

Prior to Barton, Smith served as the sports information director for the 2018-19 season at Newman University, a private Division II school in Wichita, KS. While at Newman, overseeing all 18 intercollegiate athletic programs, Smith helped transition the athletics department into a new statistical software programming, as well as, transition the Jets into a new conference affiliation.

A native of Quinter, Kansas, the Barton alum earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Health Performance with a minor in Sports Management in 2017 from Fort Hays State University.
