A pair of goals in Wednesday evening's opening twenty minutes dug the Barton Community College women's soccer team a deflating blow with a second half late penalty kick concluding the 3-0 defeat to 11th ranked Kansas City Kansas Community College at the KCKCC Soccer Complex.
The loss drops Barton to 1-2-1 in KJCCC play and 3-2-1 on the season as KCK improves to 4-0-1 in conference and 6-0-1 overall.
In the midst of a tough three-game stretch against ranked league opponents, Barton next squares up against 18th ranked Hutchinson Community College on Saturday in a 1:00 p.m. kick at the Cougar Soccer Complex before a Wednesday road trip to Arkansas City for a 5:00 p.m. kick at 14th ranked Cowley College.
