Srinoon garners PING All-District honors
May 18, 2016Natchapol Srinoon of the Barton Community College men's golf team was announced Monday as a recipient of the PING All-District III team award. Presented by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), the award recognizes players among the Division I ranks of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). -
Barton men’s golf season ends in nationally ranked packed district tournament
April 27, 2016The Barton Community College men's golf team shot a competitive three rounds this past Monday and Tuesday at the Wild Horse Golf Course in Gothenburg, Nebraska. Unfortunately for the No. 23 ranked Cougars, five nationally ranked top fifteen teams were also at the meet vying for one of three national championship bids as Barton would have its season come to an end in the Region VI and District III Championships held at the Wild Horse Golf Course. The Cougars’ 929 combined score placed fourth in the region while finishing sixth in district play.

Cougar comeback falls one stroke short, settles for fifth at KJCCC Championship
April 19, 2016The Barton Community College men's golf team stayed consistent through the three rounds of the KJCCC Championship finishing with a late charge coming up one stroke shy of a fourth place finish Tuesday at Newton’s Sand Creek Station Golf Course. Barton finished at 55-over for a 919 team score with Natchapol Srinoon breaking the top ten individual placings tying for the eighth spot with a 7-over 223.

Final day charge earns Barton men’s golf fourth place at Jayhawk Meet No. 2
April 12, 2016The Barton Community College men's golf team rallied on the final day of the second Jayhawk Conference meet of the season rising to a fourth place finish Tuesday at Hutchinson’s Cottonwood Hills Golf Course. As the teams competed Monday in less than ideal golf weather, Barton shot an opening day 332 tying for the fifth spot before firing a 313 final round for a combined 69-over 645.

Barton men’s golf begins conference season with a fourth place finish
March 24, 2016The Barton Community College men's golf team began the spring portion of its schedule on Monday jumping right into conference action in the KJCCC’s first meet of the season. Competing at Manhattan’s Colbert Hills Golf Course, the Cougars finished fourth in the eight team standings carding rounds of 326 and 324 finishing a combined 650 in the one day thirty-six hole meet.

Barton men’s golf keeps streak intact with second place finish at Barton Invitational, Srinoon wins second title of fall season
October 19, 2015The Barton Community College men's golf team finished second today in their own 36-hole Barton Invitational held at StoneRidge Golf Club. Shooting a team score under 300 for the sixth consecutive round, the No. 24 ranked Cougars posted rounds of 292 and 297 to finish at 589, eleven strokes behind Dodge City Community College’s 578 as the No. 11 Conquistadors followed their opening 283 round with a 295. Natchapol “Putter” Srinoon took first place with rounds of 70-68 for a 138 to win by four strokes over teammate Jakkapat Horsangchai and Dodge City’s Kantapong Chaisiriwichian. The Invitational completed Barton’s fall season as the Cougars took a first place and three second place finishes in the four meet fall season. Barton will begin the spring season on March 21, 2016, in the KJCCC Meet No. 1 held in Manhattan, Kansas. Complete results posted in the next couple of days.

Barton Golf finishes second at Fall Midwest Invitational
October 13, 2015The Barton Community College men's golf team finished second today at the Sterling College Fall Midwest Invitational held at Hutchinson’s Carey Park Golf Course. The Cougars trailed Dodge City Community College by four strokes after Monday’s first eighteen holes but the Conquistadors seven stroke improvement on the second day opened up a twelve shot final advantage. Barton will wrap up play in the fall portion of the schedule on their home course hosting the Barton Invitational on Monday, October 19, at StoneRidge Golf Club.

Record setting Barton men’s golf runs away with KWU Fall Invite title
September 29, 2015The Barton Community College men's golf team continued its hot start to the season running away from the field by thirty-four strokes to win the Kansas Wesleyan Fall Invite title Tuesday. The Cougars tore up Salina’s Municipal Golf Course with a new 36-hole school record 9-under 551 by firing a 5-under in Monday’s round followed by another solid 4-under in Tuesday’s final round. Claiming the top two individual placings, three Cougars finished the tournament under par while six finished among the top twenty of the fifty-four competitors.

Barton men’s golf opens season with second place finish
September 15, 2015The Barton Community College men's golf team opened up its 2015-16 season finishing second in the Central Kansas Classic. Held in windy conditions the past couple of days at McPherson’s Turkey Creek Golf Course, the Cougars led by two after the first thirty-six holes but had a tough final eighteen slipping to second place. Shooting a 942 team score (+102), the Cougars surrendered eighteen strokes on the final day to Sterling College.
