Srinoon garners PING All-District honors

Natchapol Srinoon of the Barton Community College men's golf team was announced Monday as a recipient of the PING All-District III team award.  Presented by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), the award recognizes players among the Division I ranks of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

A sophomore from Thailand, Srinoon captured two tournaments in his final year as a Cougar including an eighth place finish at the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) last month.   In his freshman season, Srinoon captured the Jayhawk Championship firing a final round 67 to tie for the title while finishing the season fourth overall for a first team All-Jayhawk standing.

Srinoon and the No. 23 ranked Cougars had their season come to an end April 26 in the Region VI/District III Championships held at the Wild Horse Golf Course in Gothenburg, Nebraska.  Srinoon was the lone Cougar to put together three rounds in the eighties finishing his Barton career with a 12-over 228 placing 23rd in the championships.  As a team Barton finished fourth in the region and sixth overall behind five other nationally ranked teams vied for three national championship bids.
