On a frigid day in Garden City, Kansas, the Barton Community College cross country teams took to the Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in the KJCCC/Region VI Championships. With the women not fielding a complete squad, the Cougar men placed 8th in the KJCCC West Division and 13th in the overall Region VI standings.

A shorthanded Barton Community College men's cross country team joined nearly two hundred runners Saturday competing in the Fort Hays State University Tiger Open. With a delayed start of thirty minutes due to heavy rains Friday night, two Cougars competed through wet and muddy conditions at the Sand Plum Nature Trail in Victoria in the 8k Black Race division.

The Barton Community College men's cross country team placed 17th Friday evening in the Papa John’s Invitational hosted by Emporia State University. Held at the Emporia Municipal Golf Course, the Cougars completed the 8k race in an average time of 32:50.37 with three Top-100 placers among the nearly 140 man field from the NJCAA, NAIA, and NCAA Division II levels.
