Barton Women's Cross Country completes final tune up test at the Ollie Isom Invitational #GoBarton

The Barton Community College women's cross country team returned to the course Friday morning competing in its' final regular season meet at the Ollie Isom Invitational held in El Dorado, KS.

Competing for the first time in 20 days and for just the second time on a 5K race, sophomore Karina Herrera led the Cougars earning a 30th place finish in the field of 53 KJCCC competitors clocking a 22:08.41.

Koe Schultz crossed the line 10-spots back timing a 23:24.89 stoppage earning a 40th placing edging out Abigail Behring's 42nd finish and new personal best time of 23:28.28.

Karina Estrada rounded out the Barton four pack netting a 48th place finish behind a new personal best stoppage of 24:45.97 shaving nearly a minute off her prior best time of 25:42.29.

Barton's next action comes in the Region VI Cross Country Championships, which will be held Friday, October 28 at 10:00 a.m. from Fun Valley in Hutchinson, KS.
