Kayan Green of the Barton Community College women's cross country team led the Cougars entries today at the Region VI Championships at Colby's Meadow Lake Golf Course.

Green placed 12^th out of the 86 entries, crossing the 5k finish line in 20:12.57.

Karina Herrera placed 31^st in 21:46.07 with Lashanna Graham 56^th in 24:13.28 while Dixee Lacen was two spots back in 58^th with a time of 24:29.74.

The event wrapped up the 2021 cross country schedule as the Cougars will use the off-season in preparation for the indoor track and field season set to begin in January.
