Kayan Green of the Barton Community College women's cross country team led the Cougars entries today at the Region VI Championships at Colby's Meadow Lake Golf Course.

Green placed 12th out of the 86 entries, crossing the 5k finish line in 20:12.57.

Karina Herrera placed 31st in 21:46.07 with Lashanna Graham 56th in 24:13.28 while Dixee Lacen was two spots back in 58th with a time of 24:29.74.

The event wrapped up the 2021 cross country schedule as the Cougars will use the off-season in preparation for the indoor track and field season set to begin in January.
