The Barton Community College women's cross country team finished 5th in the Jayhawk West Division and 10th in Region VI this past weekend in Overland Park, Kansas.  The Lady Cougars had four runners within the top fifty averaging 22:20.7 over the 5K course.

The Ellinwood duo of Paulina Montoya and Michelle Klepper led the Lady Cougars as both finished in the Region VI top twenty-five.  Montoya clocked in at 20:16.5 for 20th place while Klepper was close behind in 25th place crossing the line in 20:37.5.   Samantha Vachon finished in 44th place at 21:39.6 with Kaileigh Dietrich finishing 50th with a time of 22:13.7.  Lauren Belieau finished in 76th place in a time of 26:56.0.

The Lady Cougars will wrap up the 2012 season traveling to Ina, Illinois, for the NJCAA Division I Cross Country Nationals on November 19, 2012.
