Hitting at an efficient .302 for the week, Wierzbicki averaged 2.5 kills per set and 1.88 blocks per set from the middle position to currently rank in the conference's top five of all three net defender categories.

On a seven match win streak, Barton gets back to action on Saturday in a 2:00 p.m. first serve hosting Dodge City Community College. The Cougars, now 8-1 in league and 18-3 overall, will be looking to even the season series as Dodge City (3-6, 12-12) handed Barton's its lone conference loss in a September 6 sweep.

Wierzbicki's award is the program's third this season and Cougars' second straight week garnering the offensive player award as Phoebe Reyes earned the honor last week. Fellow outside hitter Kassidy Nixon's week three awarding earned the first of the Cougars' distinction.
