Barton's Miller named top conference defender for third straight week #GoBarton

Barton Volleyball's Hanna Miller - Week 3 KJCCC Defensive Player of the Week

Hanna Miller of the Barton Community College volleyball team has been named the KJCCC Division I Defensive Player of the Week for the third straight time to open the season.

Last week Miller helped the Cougars stay unblemished in the season with four victories at the McCook Invitational. Anchoring the back line, Miller began the weekend with 21 digs in Friday's first match to claim the program's all-time top spot in the category then tacked on 82 more in the final three matches while providing solid service receive of just three errors in 62 chances.

Most recently, the Cougars took their first loss Wednesday night at 15th ranked Seward County Community College dropping Barton to 11-1 on the season following their conference opener. The Cougars stay in conference play on Saturday with a 2:00 p.m. first serve at Cloud County Community College before having its home opener at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday hosting Pratt Community College.
