12th ranked Barton Volleyball caps perfect weekend at Northeast Tournament #GoBarton

The 12th ranked Barton Community College volleyball team made it back-to-back successful weekends sweeping its four matches this weekend in the Northeast Tournament held in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Opening the weekend on Friday afternoon the Cougars breezed to a three-set sweep over Central Community College of Columbus 25-23, 25-12, and 25-13 before downing McCook Community College in four sets during the evening session 25-16, 21-25, 25-8, and 25-10. Saturday's action was just as impressive, opening the morning with a sweep over Mount Marty University JV 25-14, 25-19, and 25-10 while capping the trip with their seventh clean sheet of the season over Southeast Community College 25-13, 25-21, and 25-21.

The Cougars now 8-0 on the young campaign will board a plane Saturday evening in heading to Arizona where Barton will play six matches throughout the week. Barton will kick off the competition on Monday at 9:00 p.m. (CT) at Glendale Community College, then travel over to Scottsdale Community College on Tuesday evening at 9:00 p.m. (CT). The Cougars will then play four matches in the two-day Dalton Overstreet Invitational where they will face Eastern Arizona College and 3rd ranked Snow College in Thursday's action before concluding the southwest trip on Saturday against, 4th ranked Utah State Eastern and host school 16th ranked Yavapai College. Barton will then return home for their home opener against Colby Community College on September 8th.
