Lady Cougar Tennis upsets No. 25 Jacksonville for first victory of year, fall to three other ranked teams in Oklahoma
The Barton Community College women's tennis team went 1-3 over the weekend against nationally ranked opponents at the Seminole State College Trojan Classic held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Lady Cougars took an 8-1 loss to host and No. 18 ranked Seminole State and a 9-0 shutout loss to No. 5 ranked Collin County on Friday before rebounding on Saturday to capture their first win of the season, a 6-3 win over No. 25 Jacksonville College before losing 8-1 to No. 7 ranked North Central Texas College to wrap up the Classic. The weekend’s matches drop Barton to 1-6 on the season with little rest ahead as the Lady Cougars return to the hard court on Tuesday in hosting a 3:00 pm. dual with Hesston College.
