Barton rides pair of second half goals in 2-0 victory at Highland #GoBarton

The Barton Community College women's soccer team netted a pair of second half goals Tuesday afternoon earning a 2-0 road victory over Highland Community College.

The victory improves the Cougars to 4-1-0 on the season while the loss drops the Scotties to 2-2-0 in their inaugural season.

Second team All-American from a season ago Seulgi Lee broke the scoreless affair just three-minutes out of the halftime break rattling the nets for the second time of the season on Nicole Thorp's setup pass.

Freshman Alisia Solis tacked on an insurance goal lighting the lamp for the fifth time of the season with 12:37 to play off Shivani Balram's third dish of the season closing out the scoring.

The Cougars' will return to conference play Saturday taking on Neosho County Community College in a 1:00 p.m. kick from the Cougar Soccer Complex.
