First half thumping sends Barton women's soccer to season ending defeat at Johnson County #GoBarton
The Barton Community College women’s soccer team had their season coming to a crashing end Saturday in Overland Park, Kansas, as the Lady Cougars were outmatched 7-0 by No. 18 ranked Johnson County Community College in the first round of the Region VI playoffs. The Cavaliers took eleven minutes to get the first of their five first half goals before tacking on two more in the final forty-five to end the Lady Cougars' season by the same seven goal margin for the second consecutive year. Having their four game win streak snapped, the region’s seventh seeded Lady Cougars’ season ends at 9-6-3 while second seeded Johnson County improves to 15-4 advancing to Thursday’s 1:30 p.m. semifinal game.
