A five stroke lead turned into a big victory Monday as the Barton Community College women's golf team ran away with their own Barton Invitational title Monday at Junction City's Rolling Meadows Golf Course.

Barton women's golf Pornnapa Inmee strikes an approach on the way to winning the 2021 Barton Invitational The Cougars posted their worst round of the early season on Sunday, shooting a 348 for a mere five stroke lead over Fort Scott. Shaving twenty-six strokes off the card in Monday's final round of 322, Barton with the help of the Greyhounds' sliding sixteen strokes off Sunday's card ran away with their second title of the fall season on a fifty-two stroke win as Fort Scott completed the two-day event at 146-over 722.

Atop the leaderboard through both rounds, Pornnapa Inmee captured the tile by seven strokes shooting consistent 81-79 rounds for a 16-over 160.

Shooting up seven spots on the chart, Pawinee Sukasem rebounded from an opening 91 to fire a tournament low 4-over 76 to jump into the second spot of the seventeen player field at 23-over 167.

Fort Scott's Jerykn Kustanborter sat in second after an opening 85 and despite improving with a final round 84 was bumped to the third slot following Sukasem's Monday charge.

Mathanee Pandee took the fourth spot over teammate Paulina Villavicencio but two strokes, stringing 89-83 rounds for a 28-over 172 while Villavicencio carded 90-84 scores for a 30-over 174.

The Cougars' next time on the course comes on Monday as Barton competes in the LeTourneau University Classic in Gladewater, Texas.
