The Barton Community College women's golf team couldn't quite hold off the charge of host Dodge City Community College as the Conquistadors erased a four-stroke deficit for a one-stroke victory Friday at Mariah Hills Golf Course in the third and final KJCCC Women's Golf Meet of the fall season.  Dodge City finished with a 559 twenty-seven hole score to Barton's 560 while Coffeyville Community College carded a 593.

Barton's runner-up finish was set up by Thursday's worst team score (381) since March of 2014, snapping a four conference meet victory stretch dating back to last season.  The Lady Cougars concluded the fall portion of the schedule having won three of their meets including a 2-1 conference meet edge headed to the spring season.

The Lady Cougars' No. 1 player and nationally third ranked Peerada Piddon bounced back from a career worst 91 on Thursday firing a 39 for Friday's second best score finishing at 130 to jump into the third spot over teammate Mackenzie Fabrizius 90 and 46 rounds for a 136.

Leading after the Thursday round, the Dodge City duo of Orakorn Thirayatorn and Rachanok Rahulpan kept the pressure on firing a 37 and 39 respectively in capturing the top two spots.  Thiraytorn's 1-over par Friday increased her winning margin finishing at 116 while Rahulpan matched Piddon's final round score in taking the second spot with a 128.

Kendra Jellison maintained her seventh placing following her opening 99 with a 47 for a 146 while Miranda Kern posted as 47 as well on the final nine wrapping up the ninth spot with a 148.

Janae Champlin rounded out the Barton team members with a 55 on Friday finishing at 164 while individualists Olivia Neuenswander carded a 58 to finish at 166 with Taylor Becker's 57 concluded the meet at 175.
