Teeratrakul’s 38 leads Lady Cougar golf team to four-stroke day one lead

The Barton Community College women's golf team leads by four strokes after Monday's first round of the Colby Women's Invitational taking place at the Salina Municipal Golf Course in Salina.  Barton shot a team score of 166 through nine holes to lead second place Dodge City Community College's 170 and third place Colby Community College's 197.  The Lady Cougars, who have won the last two conference meets, can tie Dodge City for the conference title if able to hold onto the lead through the final round.  Barton will go for the share of the conference crown in Tuesday's eighteen holes set to tee off at 9:30 a.m. 

Barton Freshman Natthakan Teeratrakul is in position to win her second conference meet of the season and become the third straight Lady Cougar to win a conference meet firing a 38 to lead second place Jodi Saito of Dodge City by three strokes.  Barton has all six golfers in the top ten individual placings including the conference's fourth meet winner Kaylee Crawford and medalist Madison Walden in third place with a 42.
