The Barton Community College bowling teams made the trip east Friday taking on Ottawa University.

On the women's side Taylor Cessna led five Cougars finishing 13th in the 21 participant field. The sophomore tallied a three round score of 545 averaging a 181 score per 10 frames.

Angelina Leeper (506), Erin Mayfield (499), Alex Newell (480) and Alexis Leon (445) rounded out the 21-participant field.

Barton Bowling's Tracey Hill, Jordan Black and Jacob Holden Sophomore Tracey Hill paced the 24-participant men's field blasting down a tournament high 706 pins averaging a score of 235 per-three games. Concluding a runner-up finish falling just eight pins back of Hill was Great Bend, KS native Jacob Holden tallying 698 pins.

Jordan Black posted a fifth place appearance tying a career game high score of 279 while finishing with a 655 total tally.

 

Barton's next action comes Saturday and Sunday at the Jayhawk Challenge held in Lawrence, KS.
