Barton women's basketball gives back to the community.
The Barton Comunity College participated in a pair of community service events during the month of October.
The Cougars' first service to the community during the month was on the second as the squad donated blood during the Red Cross' station set up at the Great Bend Holiday Inn Express. Participating in the annual College tradition during Halloween, the Cougars helped lined the Kirkman Activity Center to help put smiles on kids faces in passing out candy to the Child Development Center's "Parade of Kids" held October 30.
"It's been nice to have a couple of opportunities to get our team out into the public," said Head Coach Alan Clark. "I'm proud of our kids for their selflishness, pride, and fun they put into giving something back to our community."
