Career highs lead Lady Cougar basketball pulling away for 87-51 win

A number of individual and team high performances helped the Barton Community College women’s basketball team pull away Wednesday night at the Barton Gym for an 87-51 victory over the junior varsity squad from Tabor College. Increasing a four point first quarter lead to twelve by halftime, the Lady Cougars exploded for thirty-five third quarter points going on to the thirty-six point victory. Barton improves to 3-2 on the season heading into a weekend short trip to Hutchinson for the Hutch Pawn & Jewelry Classic. The Lady Cougars will play at 1:30 p.m. each day first taking on the junior varsity squad from Central Methodist University on Friday and then Murray State College on Saturday.
