Lady Cougar basketball holds on for season opening victory
The Barton Community College women’s basketball team opened the 2015-16 season and Trevor Rolf’s coaching era with a 55-54 victory Friday night over Redlands Community College in the Best Western Pizza Hut Classic. Leading by two at the break but trailing by two after three quarters of play, an 8-0 run to open the fourth turned the tide then held on thanks to a late defensive stand to secure the Lady Cougars victory. Barton will next play Northern Oklahoma College-Enid in the 5:30 p.m. game Saturday while Redlands will take on Pratt Community College in the 1:00 p.m. game.

In the first game of the NOC-Enid erased a five-point halftime deficit to win 71-66 over Pratt.
