Lady Cougar basketball predicted fourth in Jayhawk West
The Barton Community College women’s basketball team has been predicted to finish 4th in the Jayhawk West this season. The Lady Cougars, coming off a disappointing seventh place finish last season, return four letterman including two starters from last year’s 13-17 team. Defending champion Hutchinson Community College is predicted to repeat, while Seward County Community College and Cloud County Community College figure to come in ahead of the Lady Cougars. Barton will open the 2013-14 season at home November 1st in the Highland Hotel/Pizza Hut Classic.

The Jayhawk West will consist of eight teams this season due to Butler Community College moving to the Jayhawk East.
