Hines joins Cougars from Lamar University

Trenice Hines is one of the latest out of state signees for new Barton County Community College women's basketball coach Lane Lord. Harris, a 5-8 guard will join the Cougars as a transfer from Lamar University. She will be a sophomore for Barton County next season.

While at Lamar, Hines played in 23 games, starting once for the Cardinals. She averaged 3 points and 10 minutes a contest. She scored 8 points on 3 occasions for a career-high at Lamar.

Prior to playing for Lamar, Hines was standout prep player in the Dallas Area for one of the premier high school teams in the Dallas Area – Skyline High School. Her senior season at Skyline saw her average 14 points a contest to go along with 5 assists, 5 rebounds, and 7 steals.

Trenice played at one of the bet high school team in the Dallas Area – Skyline High School – before playing at Lamar as a freshman. She is an outstanding athlete who can shoot the 3 as well as penetrate and score. Trenice is a physical defensive player who will give the Cougars experience at the guard position.
