Fresh off a trip to the floor of the defending national champion, the Barton County women's basketball team had to take on unbeaten and No. 8 ranked Seward County Saturday night. The result wasn't what the Cougars wanted, falling 113-62 to the Saints. Barton falls to 0-2 in the Jayhawk West and 5-11 overall. Seward County is now 2-0 and 16-0.

Highlights
Barton County fell behind early and was never in the contest as the Saints won their 99th straight home contest. Over the past three regular seasons, Seward County is now 76-0. The only losses the last two years for the Saints were in the Region VI finals, keeping them from the NJCAA tournament.
Sarah Kendrick and Laura Irvine scored 11 and 10 to lead Barton County.
Next Up
The Cougars will return home for the first time in nearly two months when Dodge City pays a visit to Barton County tonight. Dodge City will bring an 0-2 West record and an 11-5 overall mark to Barton.
