Carson DuBose is in her second season as assistant coach for the Barton Softball team.

DuBose helped the Cougars make a run for the Region VI title coming up short in the championship game concluding the season at 21-27 following a fourth place finish in the Jayhawk East standings at 12-15.

Concluding her first season, DuBose guided a pair of Cougars onto the All Jayhawk East postseason teams with Madison Faylor landing a first team nod and sophomore Brooke McCollough clinching a second team selection.

She came to the Lady Cougars program from Northeastern State University a Division II school in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where she served as a graduate assistant coach for two years from 2019-2020.

DuBose helped guide Northeastern State University to a fourth place finish in the rugged Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) in 2019 posting a 28-27 mark. In 2020, the Riverhawks were off to their best start in program history at 16-8 until the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the remainder of the season.

Prior to the start of her collegiate coaching career, DuBose played two years at Northern Oklahoma – Tonkawa College earning Academic All-American honors her sophomore year. DuBose transferred to Rogers State University an NCAA Division II program in Claremore, Oklahoma where she concluded her playing career.

DuBose earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Rogers State University and master’s degree in Health & Kinesiology from Northeastern State University. She is a native of Owasso, OK.
