Due to predicted weather conditions for Saturday, the Barton Community College softball team hosting Colby Community College conference doubleheader has been pushed back a day to Sunday.

Barton and the Trojans will be battling for 3rd place of the conference standings in the 1:00 p.m. doubleheader, the Cougars two games ahead in the win column at 17-7 in league and 24-17 overall while Colby arrives at 15-7 and 26-10 on the year.

The Cougars will also be looking to snap a four-game slide, started last Friday at Colby on a pair of losses before dropping Wednesday's doubleheader at conference leading 17th ranked Hutchinson. Meanwhile Colby's climb up the ladder has been going 12-2 in the last month of conference play including the sweep over Barton and splits with 16th ranked Butler and Hutchinson.

Following the Colby series, Barton will have just a trio of regular season dates left before post-season play, beginning Wednesday in traveling to second place Butler. The Cougars then close out home field on April 26 hosting Dodge City before wrapping up the regular season April 29 at Northwest Kansas Technical College.
