The Barton Community College softball team wrapped up regular season play Sunday in McCook, Nebraska, rebounding from a 5-4 loss to win game two 14-6 at McCook Community College.  The Lady Cougars rallied from a four-run deficit in game one to tie it up in the sixth but a two out double sent Barton to its eleventh straight loss.  Barton trailed again in game two by one after the first but scored nine in the next two innings highlighted by Emilia Davies' grand slam as Barton cruised to the 14-6 five inning contest.  Barton was scheduled to wrap up regular season play on Monday at North Platte Community College but rains sweeping through the state forced the cancellation.   Barton finishes the regular season at 19-22 and 3-13 for fourth place in the Jayhawk.  The Lady Cougars will begin Region VI Tournament play on Saturday at Wichita State University's Wilkins Stadium, taking on fifth place Colby Community College in the 10:00 a.m. game.  The winner of the Barton-Colby matchup will play No. 7 ranked Butler Community College at 2:00 p.m. while the loser will play the 4:00 p.m. elimination game against the loser of the 12:00 p.m. Seward County Community College versus Garden City Community College matchup.
