The Barton Community College softball team helped build mountains Friday in Liberal, Kansas, but couldn't quite climb them in dropping a pair of Region VI Jayhawk Conference games to No. 11 Seward County Community College at Lady Saints Field.  Barton surrendered seven runs in the first two innings of each game in losing 8-3 and 10-4.  The pair of losses drop the Lady Cougars to 2-2 in conference and 11-5 on the season while Seward County improves to 4-2 and 21-4 overall.  The Lady Cougars will take a few days off before getting back to the diamond to prepare for Wednesday's conference matchup with Garden City Community College.  First pitch at Cougar Field for the conference doubleheader is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
