Montana duo Pearce, Wilson to play softball for Cougars
The Barton County Community College softball team released the signing of a pair of Montana products in Brooke Pearce and Sarah Wilson, both from Skyview High School in Billings. Pearce was a pitcher and outfielder for Skyview while Wilson played shortstop. Both will be part of a large recruiting class signed by Barton Coach Tom Curtis. Skyview has been a AA State Tournament team that past 2 seasons.



Pearce was tabbed all-state her junior season as a center fielder for Skyview then moved to the mound to earn 2nd team All-State honors as a pitcher her senior season after going 9-1 with a 2.80 ERA. She also earned a golden glove award for her defense. She was a 4-year letterwinner and 2-year starter at Skyview. In addition to her softball skills, Pearce was a letterwinner in basketball as well. Pearce has played summer softball for the Magic City Chaos, Mountain West Crush and the Magic City Havoc. This past summer the Havoc qualified for the 18-under ASA Western National Tournament.

Wilson earned honorable mention all-state honors as a junior shortstop for Skyview. Her senior season she hit 5 homers and drove in 25 runs. She was a 3-year starter for the Falcons, who went 16-7 this season with 2 of those losses in the AA State Tournament. Wilson played summer softball for the Magic City Havoc, an ASA 18-under Western National Tournament qualifier.
