Rains wins out at Johnson Tourney; Cougars lose only game
The Barton County Community College softball team was only able to get in one game at the Johnson County Tournament over the weekend before rains hit and wiped out the rest of the slate. In that contest, the Cougars fell 11-0 to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M – the 11th ranked team in the nation.

Highlights
The fell behind 2-0 after the 1st inning as 3 hits and 2 Barton errors allowed NEO to grab the lead. That lead grew to 5-0 after 2 innings and eventually came to an end with a 6-run 5th inning for the 11-0 run-rule win.

Karina Ramirez collected the only hit against the nationally ranked team, earning a single in the opening inning.
