Theo Leveque of the Barton Community College men's cross country team has been tabbed as the week two KJCCC and NJCAA National Male Athlete of the Week.

Placing 8th two weeks ago in his collegiate debut, Leveque sent a statement across the country Friday at the Carol Swenson Invitational besting the 58-participant field by 21-seconds while clocking the course record and setting the previous program best time with a 15:47.75.

Leveque will look to carry the momentum into Barton's next meet September 23rd as the Cougars head to Emporia State University for the ESU Invitational held at the Trusler Sports Complex in Emporia, KS. Start times for the event will feature the Lady Cougars kicking things off at 5:15 p.m. with the Cougar men set to start at 6:00 p.m.
