Mosley and Moore earn Week 19 Barton Sports Weekly Athletics Award Honors #GoBarton

Barton Sports Student Athletes of the Week for Week of 1/18/2022

Barton Men's Track and Field athletes Elijah Mosley and Ali Moore have been named the week 19 "Barton Sports Weekly Athletics Award Honors" sponsored by Great Bend's Identifications.

Elijah Mosley made an impressionable Cougar debut at the Ted Nelson Invitational hosted by Texas A&M University. In the 400m, the freshman clocked a runenr-up 47.14 time for 10th best in program history in grabbing the country's early top two-year collegiate time.

Ali Moore was nearly as sensational in his season debut winning the 26-entry 60m in a time of 6.76 for a new personal best and fifth place national ranking in the early season. The freshman posted his second personal best of the day later in the 200m with a fourth palce finish clocking a 21.84.

Barton had a successful second meet of the indoor season at the Texas Tech Red Raider Open held in Lubbock, TX. Facing against some of the best competitors in the nation at the NCAA and NJCAA levels, the Cougars came away with eight personal best efforts while adding five new national qualifiers.

The track programs will continue the indoor portion Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the Pittsburg State Invitational held on the campus of Pittsburg State University.
