Barton's Fleurinord jumps into week three indoor track conference honor #GoBarton

Bradley Fleurinord of the top ranked Barton Community College men's track and field team was named the week three KJCCC Kansas MTXE Indoor Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

This past weekend the Florida sophomore reset his personal best long jump mark, flying to a nation's second best 7.27m (23-10.25) mark in a runner up placing by 1.5 inches to host O'Shea Wilson of the University of Iowa at the Black and Gold Premier.

Fleurinord's award is the third straight week a member of the Cougar squad has earned the honor, joined by Kevin Nedrick and Dartez Hamlin in week one and two respectively. Additionally, three Lady Cougars have also received the honor with Amanda Carty and Keosha Sanders sweeping the opening week with Latoya Stewart earning the second week track award. Terence Ware, who didn't earn week two's conference award, did receive the Cougars' most prestigious award thus far in receiving the USTFCCCA national athlete of the year after posting a school third best 60m time of 6.63 seconds.

The Cougars' next meet with be its second trip of the season to Lincoln, Nebraska, as Barton will compete in the weekend's Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational.
