Eight members of the Barton County Community College tennis program competed this weekend at the ITA Central Region Championships held in Winfield, Kansas.
On the men's side of the tournament, Guido Luna proved to be workhorse playing in eight total matches in the two day spanning coming away with an 8-2 victory to win the consolation side of the bracket.
The women's squad put two in the singles consolation final with Julia Candiotto and Mariane Lima double forfeiting the final to share the accomplishment. The duo also played well as a doubles tandem, getting knocked out in the semifinals and settling for fourth place having defaulted the third place match.
