Shorthanded Cougar Tennis falls to a pair or ranked teams, goes 1-2 in Oklahoma

The shorthanded No. 19 ranked Barton Community College men's tennis team went 1-2 over the weekend at the tough Seminole State College Trojan Classic held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Playing with the limited services of the Cougars No. 1 singles player Vinicius Ono, Barton battled through the always challenging SSC Classic.  On Friday the Cougars began the day with an 8-1 loss to host and No. 4 ranked Seminole State then battled to a 5-4 loss to Jayhawk foe No. 20 ranked Seward County Community College.  Barton bounced back on Saturday getting a narrow 5-4 victory over New Mexico Military Institute to wrap up the Classic.   The weekend's matches drop Barton to 2-4 on the season with little rest ahead as the Cougars return to the hard court on Tuesday in hosting a 3:00 pm. dual with Hesston College.
