The Barton Community College men's tennis team ran into a buzz saw Thursday evening as the No. 17 McPherson College Bulldogs posted a 8-1 victory over the Cougars at Club 1 Fitness Center in Great Bend. The 0-2 Cougars will have a quick turnaround as they will host Hesston College at 10:00 a.m. Friday.

The Cougars lone victory came in the No. 1 doubles as Samuel Araujo and Raphael Sequeira teamed up for a 8-5 victory over Slav Bukatin and Sean Dulagahan.  

Both Araujo and Sequeira nearly knotched singles victories as well.  In the No. 1 singles match Araujo fell to McPherson's Rafael Bulnes 4-6 and 3-6.  The Cougars' Sequeira won the first set of the No. 2 singles match 6-4 against the Bulldogs' Bukatin but lost the next two sets 2-6 and 3-10.
