Cougars get two victories at Hendrix Invitational, Barton Swimming third overall with women finishing sixth #GoBarton
The Barton Community College swim teams competed the past two days at second annual Hendrix Invitational in Conway, Arkansas. Getting two victories on the weekend, the Cougar men finished third among the eight team field with the women placing sixth overall.
The Barton Community College swim teams competed the past two days at second annual Hendrix Invitational in Conway, Arkansas. Getting two victories on the weekend, the Cougar men finished third among the eight team field with the women placing sixth overall.
Barton scored 389 points on the day, finishing behind Centenary College's 671.5 and the 520.5 points recorded by host Hendrix. The Lady Cougars compiled 172 points as Hendrix took the title with 687.5 points.
Earning a victory the last time the Cougars were in the competitive pool, Keagan Wilson came away with another title in winning the 200 fly by six seconds by clocking a 2:02.56. Wilson also helped Barton to a relay title teaming with William Spitz, Dawson Gantenbein, and Bailey Chavez to win the 400 free relay in 3:20.05.
Barton's next action won't come until after the Christmas break as Barton will head to Hillsboro, Kansas, on January 13 for a duel with Tabor College.
