Cougars' survive defensive battle with 1-0 victory over Neosho #GoBarton

It took over 75-minutes Saturday afternoon at the Cougar Soccer Complex but the Barton Community College men's soccer team tallied the lone goal in a 1-0 defensive juggernaut over Neosho County Community College  

The Cougars' game winner came with 14:19 left in the second half as Ivan Zuniga forced a Panther turnover setting up Victor Lucca's far post strike for his fourth goal of the season.

The victory evens the Cougars' conference mark at 1-1-0 while moving to 4-3-0 on the year while Neosho County slips to 0-2-2 in conference play and 2-2-2 on the season. Barton will close its' three game homestand on Wednesday in a 3:00 p.m. kick against Dodge City Community College.

Dante Curin improved to 4-3-0 on the season as the Cougar's net protector, along with, a stout defensive line in front posted its' third shutout on the season by allowing just two shots on frame.
