Barton's D'Agostini nets national honor and second KJCCC weekly men's soccer award #GoBarton

Felipe D'Agostini of the 15th ranked Barton Community College men's soccer team not only picked up his second KJCCC weekly award of the season but earned national distinction as well in the NJCAA's week three Player of the Week.

D'Agostini, who won the opening week award, netted the eventual game winner a week ago Wednesday at Dodge City and put two goals on the board this past Saturday hosting Johnson County. In Dodge City, D'Agostini helped Barton build a 2-0 lead just six minutes into the second half by one-timing a throw-in to launch a laser from outside the corner of the eighteen to far post. On Saturday, D'Agostini showed off footwork control in the box to outmaneuver the Johnson County keeper to find the net for his first goal then later would score his second on positioning himself for a rebound in blasting in the Cougars' sixth goal of the afternoon.

More recently, Barton split a pair of 2-0 games, winning Monday at Garden City before losing at 6th ranked Cowley College on Wednesday.

The Cougars now stand at 4-2 in conference play and 6-2 on the year heading into Saturday's 4:00 p.m. kick-off hosting Kansas City Kansas Community College.
