20th ranked Cougar soccer scores team effort victory over Johnson County #GoBarton

The 20th ranked Barton Community College men's soccer team had six different players rattle the net Saturday at the Soccer Complex to earn a 7-0 victory over Johnson County Community College.

Recording its third straight 7-0 victory on their home turf, Barton improves to 3-1 in conference play and 5-1 on the year while keeping Johnson County winless on the season at 0-4.

A trio of contests line up a busy week for Barton in road trips to Garden City on Monday and a Wednesday trip to Cowley College before hosting nationally ranked Kansas City Kansas next Saturday.

It took the Cougars nearly twenty-eight minutes to break through the Cavalier defense with defenseman David Lopez' rise and shine header putting away Ivan Zuniga's corner kick proving to be the winning goal.

Johnson County played the remaining sixty-six minutes down a man due to a red card on the Cavalier starting goalie.

The Cougars settled in late in the half, netting a trio of net shakers in the final moments of the opening frame taking momentum and a 4-0 lead to the break.

Vladyslav Peretyatko struck the first of the three goals converting a penalty kick with 5:17 left with a perfectly executed play taking the lead to three just three minutes later. Cedric Morales sent a deep ball to the corner where Peretyatko sent a perfect cross to Gabrielle Privitera whose volley shocked the keeper mid-net. Less than sixty second later Ricardo Sepulveda's through ball set up Felipe D'Agostini with a 1v1 with the keeper pushing the margin to four.

Privitera's long cross to Elijah Williams for a top shelf goal at 24:51 remaining netted the first of three second half scores.

D'Agostini's pounding the net from Shizu Yohena's blocked shot put another on the board with 12:16 left.

The scoring closed out on a spectacular goal with 5:56 left following Davi Dornelles' long cross pass. Genildo Postimo settled the pass, warded off his defender then launched a shaped shot from thirty yards out to find upper far post.
