Barton has three regular season games remaining, a home contest with Pratt Community College on either side of two matchups against Northwest Kansas Technical College with the first coming this Wednesday in a 4:00 p.m. kick-off at the Cougar Soccer Complex.
In a competitive first half play, Steve Taylor's first collegiate goal provided the game winner as the freshman from Costa Rica buried Angel Lopez' third assist of the year with 26:37 left on the first half clock.
With the defense shutting down the Larks only allowing two second half shots, the Cougar offense went to work with fifteen launches as six hurled towards frame as two found the net in providing cushion to the lead.
Set up by the nifty passing of Ezra Armstrong and Hiroo Kimura, Gabriel Arraes De Almeida provided the duo's first collegiate assist finishing off the play for the Brazilian freshman's second net shaker of the year as 9:39 elapsed in second half play.
Scoring his first collegiate goal in a debut performance coming against Hesston in the teams' September 19 meeting at Barton, De Almeida would again get a collegiate first against the Larks as five minutes later set up Francis Eto's first goal of the sophomore's season to close out the afternoon's scoring.
