Camara earns awards, becomes second straight Barton men’s soccer player honored

For the second straight week, the Barton Community College men's soccer team earned both the KJCCC Verizon Wireless and NJCAA weekly awards.  Ebu Camara, who won this week's player of the week award, joins last week's goalkeeper of the week Mauricio Vargas as Barton has won three out the conference season's five weekly awards.  The nationally receiving votes Cougars stand at 5-1-0 in conference play and 6-1-1 overall as they await Sunday's 4:00 p.m. conference game against Neosho County Community College at the Cougar Soccer Complex.

The 6'1" Camara accounted for six of the Cougars seven goals this past week in a pair of narrow conference victories.  In the Cougars' 3-2 victory at Dodge City, Camara recorded his first career hat trick on four shots on goal.  On Sunday against Allen, the sophomore from Hays, Kansas, followed his Dodge City performance with two goals and one assist in Barton's 4-2 victory.  Camara continues his constant threat against opponents as he works his way into the top five in multiple categories of Barton's all-time career lists.
