The Barton Community College men's soccer team needed all three goals from sophomore Ebu Camara in winning 3-2 at Dodge City Community College Wednesday afternoon. The Cougars won their fourth straight road game to improve to 4-1 in conference play and 5-1-1 overall while Dodge City drops to 1-1-0 in conference and 4-4-0 overall. Barton will next play Allen County Community College in a 4:00 p.m. conference contest at the Cougar Soccer Complex.
Dodge City took the lead just 8:40 into the game, before Camara's first goal would tie it up with 13:42 remaining in the half. Camara took a Hector Mata pass to score his first of two first half goals then game the Cougars the halftime momentum scoring off a Juan Correa pass with 1:42 remaining.
Much like Dodge City's early goal in the first, Camara and Correa connected again as the Cougars scored early in the second as just 8:07 had eclipsed. Dodge City would get a late goal with 8:48 to play to narrow the deficit by the KJCCC and NJCAA goalkeeper of the week Mauricio Vargas and the Cougar defense denied the Conquistadors from tying it up.
