The No. 14 ranked Barton Community College men's soccer team capped off a successful weekend trip to Cheyenne, Wyoming, defeating Otero Junior College 2-1 on Sunday.  The victory coupled with Saturday's scoreless tie against No. 18 ranked Laramie County Community moves Barton to 1-0-1 to begin the 2013 season. The Cougars will next play an exhibition contest versus Fort Hays State University next Friday kicking off at 8:00 p.m. at the FHSU Soccer Stadium.

Barton got their first goal of the game and thus the season with 15:28 to play in the first half as sophomore Ebu Camara found Mariano Gelso to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead.  The narrow lead withstood into the second half until Camara gave the Cougars some cushion by scoring off an assist from freshman Christopher Hogg.  The Rattlers cut the lead in half with 12:21 to play but Barton stood firm to secure the first win of the season.
