The Barton Community College men's golf team fired a combined 1-over par in the final round of the Blue Devil Fall Classic to run away with the title by sixteen strokes. The No. 18 ranked Cougars ended the first day of action in a 302 tie with Kirkwood Community College before taming the course at Kansas City’s Dub’s Dread Golf Club with the 289 for a 591 36-hole score.

Four Cougars finished in the top-5 of the thirty-eight man field as freshman Oscar Elfvin and sophomore Thitipong Homruen tying for first posting identical 73-72 rounds to finish 1-over for the tourney at 145 with Elfvin earning the title on a tiebreak giving Homruen his second runner-up placing of the fall season.
Adrien Bonnet moved up four spots from Monday's 77 round to earn a third place tiebreaker carding a 1-over 73 for a 150 combined score while Kylian Cavdar was the third Cougar to fire a closing even-par 72 round in vaulting from an opening 79 tenth position into the fifth spot at 151. Kelby Titus also finished strong on the final day, following an 80 on the card with a 5-over 75 for a tourney 155.
Barton also had a second team of Cougars entered in the meet carding consistent rounds of 357 and 358 for a 715 total. Jacob Roth led the five with a 168 (85-83) followed by Jacob Uhrmacher's 174 in matching Roth's 83 in the first round before closing with a 91. Michael Kelly posted a 179 (91-88), Taylor Travis 194 (98-96), and Tanner Randall's 202 (104-98).
The Cougars will head south to Tyler, Texas, for their next meet participating in the Tyler Junior College Fall Invitational held October 23-24 at Pine Springs Golf Course.
