Eloy becomes first Barton Men’s Golf All-American, Cougars finish 21st at NJCAA Championships
The Barton Community College men’s golf team finished 21st at the NJCAA Division I Men’s National Championship held at Spirit Hollow Golf Course in Burlington, Iowa, this past week. Reaching the national championships for the first time since 2006, the Cougars shot a team combine thirty-nine over par 327 on the final day to finish the four day tournament at 1311.

Sophomore Jeremie Eloy capped off his Barton career finishing with a three over par 75 to finish fourteenth in the individual placings to earn All-American honors. After winning the Region VI Tournament two weeks prior and becoming the first Cougar to do so since 2002, Eloy continued to make his mark on school history becoming the first men's golfer to earn the All-American award.
Freshman Landon Fox closed out his solid first season with a five over par 80 to jump thirteen places to a tie for 54th. Alex Hobelmann closed out his Barton career with a thirteen over par 85 to move up one spot to finish in a tie for 102nd while fellow sophomore Kyle Hoover carded an eighteen over par 90 to finish 110th. Also shooting a 90 in the final round was freshman Koby Beougher who finished his national debut in 112th place.
