Cougar golf finishes 4th place to wrap up fall season; Eloy with consecutive top ten finishes

The Barton Community College men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of the 2013-14 schedule with a fourth place finish at Conference Meet No. 3 this past Monday at The Championship Course at Alvamar in Lawrence, Kansas.   Firing a consistent 320 and 318 round scores, Barton had three individuals in the top twenty as the Cougars stand in fourth place in the conference season standings.  Barton will be away from competition until March 23 when the conference season resumes at Salina's Municipal Golf Course.

Sophomore Jeremie Eloy cracked the top ten for the second time in consecutive meets leading the Cougars with a twelve-over-par 156 to finish tied for 10th place.  A solid first day 77 helped Alex Hobelmann finish tied for 14th at fourteen-over-par 158 while Zack Proffitt's back-to-back 81s led to a tie for 20th at eighteen-over-par 162.  Koby Beougher closed with a solid round of 81 to move into 31st place at twenty-three-over-par while Landon Fox twenty-nine-over-par 173 rounded out the Cougar team.  Kyle Hoover, competing as an individual, finished fifty-fourth with a forty-one-over-par 185.
