Cougar golf opens 2013 season with top finishes
The Barton Community College men’s golf team began the 2013 season today capturing three out of the top four placings in the Dave Dennis Low Ball Tournament held at the Independence Country Club in Independence, Kansas. The Cougars captured the first, third, and fourth place finishes in the two-man low ball tournament used as a tune-up for the conference season. Barton will begin conference play on September 9 at the Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield, Kansas.

Winning the 27-hole tournament were Jeremie Eloy and Alex Hobelmann as the sophomore duo shot a seven under par 99 to win by three strokes. Freshmen Landon Fox and Zack Proffitt carded a two under par 104 for third place while sophomore Kyle Hoover and freshman Koby Beougher combined to finish fourth by one stroke.
